Ranking Every Ace Attorney Case I've Played

1
The Return of the Great Departed Soul
The Great Ace Attorney 2 Case 3
This case is the soul of The Great Ace Attorney. Every second of this case is enthralling. It introduces some new characters and gives a much deeper interest in those already known. The atmosphere, setting, historical grounding. It's a ride

2
The Resolve of Ryunosuke Naruhodo
The Great Ace Attorney 2 Case 5
The final case of The Great Ace Attorney is the most crazy in the entire series. You got Van Zieks backstory, government conspiracy, fake deaths plus a conclusion to the entire series. I played this entire half of the case in one day. Truly a ride

3
Twisted Karma and His Last Bow
The Great Ace Attorney 2 Case 4
Cases 4 and 5 are one extremely long case. I was immediately caught off guard by the victim and I may have cried, but this one is so mind-blowing and cool. Even before the conclusion, the pieces themselves are enough to keep the buildup satisfying

4
Bridge to the Turnabout
Ace Attorney 3 Case 5
Even the creator of the series has Bridge to the Turnabout as his favorite case. This case has everything and you even get to play as Edgeworth. It's another very complicated case that touches on every aspect of the series. A masterpiece

5
The Adventure of the Unspeakable Story
The Great Ace Attorney Case 5
One of the craziest things I've ever read. It's a great final case and leads well into the second game. Eggert Benedict is pretty cool and a great name. The case itself is also super complicated and kind of spirals out of control

6
The Stolen Turnabout
Ace Attorney 3 Case 2
Truly the most Ace Attorney case ever. Luke Atmey is one of the best characters in the whole series. The entire cast here is great. Adrian Andrews' return was an unexpected surprise too. Man, even Godot is introduced as a prosecutor. 10/10

7
Turnabout Beginnings
Ace Attorney 3 Case 4
3-4 just gets it. It's a shorter case, but it feeds into the rest of the game so well and has a lot to offer. Plus, it has this cool Von Karma-esque piece for Edgeworth. I love Young Edgeworth (Idk why Japanese people say 'young' as a title)

8
Farewell, My Turnabout
Ace Attorney 2 Case 4
The only case in Ace Attorney Justice for All that's even above average... I really like the location and the twists are like Ever17. It almost makes playing this game worth it

9
Turnabout Goodbyes
Ace Attorney Case 4
I mean it has basically everything. It's an Edgeworth case. Turnabout Goodbyes is even a little tricky and it perfectly concludes the game. It also has the ending theme, which is one of my favorite video game tracks

10
Rise from the Ashes
Ace Attorney Case 5
One that actually deserves to be as long as it is. Playing this on emulation was kind of annoying, but it has Ema Skye and the cowboy guy. It's a pretty good case

11
The Adventure of the Runaway Room
The Great Ace Attorney Case 3
It's the only case where you defend a pretty blatantly guilty person. He's pretty interesting, too. It goes well with the final case of the game. It's crazy how they were able to create such an interesting mystery in such a small area. Van Zieks...

12
The Adventure of the Blossoming Attorney
The Great Ace Attorney 2 Case 1
This is the best first case in the series. There isn't even a contest. Susato became ten times better in an instant. Soseki Natsume returns and the reason I started reading his books. It's like Turnabout Trump, but the rest of the game is good

13
The Memoirs of the Clouded Kokoro
The Great Ace Attorney 2 Case 2
This case has Shamspeare... The case itself is very memorable and it was a treat to revisit a case that was disappointing and give it more meaning. There's also a lot completely outside of the case itself here. It's like the calm before the storm

14
The Adventure of the Great Departure
The Great Ace Attorney Case 1
I actually started with this game. . It feels like it came right out of actual world history, immediately putting me in the 19th century with the apparent class divide and clinging aristocracy against the new bourgeois order. It's also just fun

15
Turnabout Memories
Ace Attorney 3 Case 1
The case that made Mia Fey an interesting character. It only took three games... It's the best intro case of the trilogy and it gives you an even better reason to care about the main cast. This case was a joy and a cool lore dump

16
Turnabout Trump
Ace Attorney 4 Case 1
They made Phoenix Wright even better than the trilogy did in this case alone. Too bad it's all there really is. The rest of this game is so bad compared to this case. I thought I was in for a ride that rivaled the trilogy, but this is the climax

17
Recipe for Turnabout
Ace Attorney 3 Case 3
Kind of similar to The Great Ace Attorney's second case. It has a very exhausting start. The second half is cool and the cast kept me engaged. The old guy's theme is also so good. I think about it quite often

18
The Adventure of the Unbreakable Speckled Band
The Great Ace Attorney Case 2
This case is saved by being The Great Ace Attorney and Ryunosuke being a charming protagonist that I can't get that irritated with... the beginning and second half is interesting, but the mystery is very forgettable, despite being crucial to the plot

19
The Lost Turnabout
Ace Attorney 2 Case 1
This case is good, because it is short and not a case I completely turned my brain off to. The culprit is quite humorous. It's the little spike of happiness before the sea of mid that is 2-2 and 2-3

20
Reunion, and Turnabout
Ace Attorney 2 Case 2
I am a D1 Pearl hater but the mystery was pretty cool and engaging. It took me a minute to figure out how she got in the room and the actual culprit I thought had a decent story. Ace Attorney 2 is just so boring, though, oh my god

21
Turnabout Corner
Ace Attorney 4 Case 2
This one is kind of cute and the cast is very good. The mystery is just alright, but there's at least some parts to occupy your mind. Plus, Apollo isn't completely shafted in this case

22
Turnabout Big Top
Ace Attorney 2 Case 3
Everyone hates this case, but it's not that bad. It's mostly just boring. I did get a little interested towards the half-way point when you get a little closer to all the answers, but like 1-3, it did not need to be this long

23
The Adventure of the Clouded Kokoro
The Great Ace Attorney Case 4
This case pissed me off so much. I hate that stupid couple that kept saying things that don't make sense after I finally pieced it all together. Van Zieks and Gregson made me not completely die of boredom. The mystery itself is quite uninteresting

24
Turnabout Sisters
Ace Attorney Case 2
This case is just alright. I enjoy the atmosphere of the entire case with the aesthetic offices and hotels. Grossberg is cool and you get to learn a little about Mia Fey. I don't really care for the rest of the cast

25
Turnabout Serenade
Ace Attorney 4 Case 3
I legit barely remember this case. Like half this game, Klavier Gavin is the only good part. Like most of Ace Attorney 4, the actual cast of this case is so mid

26
The First Turnabout
Ace Attorney Case 1
The first case isn't bad, it's just like ten minutes long and every other case, even the bad ones, at least have something in them to cling onto

27
Turnabout Samurai
Ace Attorney Case 3
I'm sorry this case is so boring. It did not need to be that long. Its cast isn't even that interesting. I can't even remember half the characters it introduced, and the actual mystery is like who cares?

28
Turnabout Succession
Ace Attorney 4 Case 4
Sad that this was the send-off to a game with such a strong start. Maybe I'm just stupid, but this entire game makes no sense and it took me months to finish these last two cases. It's kind of crazy how they turned Apollo into Areo Hotah
